By Rabbi Aryeh Spero
True to form, John McCain wants, again, to be the singular Republican
that Democrats collaborate with so as to show bi-partisanship. It was
evident throughout the election that he did not do what a candidate
must do to win an election since he did not want to bruise the egos and
jeopardize the friendships that he has in the Senate with Democrats.
He has more Democrat friends than Republican. His constant criticism of the Republican Party during the campaign showed that his loyalty has always been to John McCain's ego, not the Party. He caused us a terrible disaster in November. It appears he now wishes to hurt our Party by collaborating with the Obama Democrats by making his fellow Reublicans look intransigent.
We cannot let him destroy us a second time in such short space. He is not our leader, never was and I hope Mitch McConnell tells him that if he continues to be the lone Maverick at the expense of our Party, that Mr. McCain be shown the door.
